The only reason I purchased this book was because of the hype. This book was all over tik tok, people talking about how it made them cry and how they would like to erase their memory so that they could read this book again. (I swear these tik toks were more intriguing than the description of the book itself!)
Well I’m going to tell you that it’s definitely not worth the hype. It’s a very average book about the blossoming of Aristotle and Dante’s friendship into something more.
Now granted that homosexuality is pretty taboo and sensitive for some people, but is that why people over rated this book and the story? I don’t know.
If you judge this book as how you would judge any normal story, it’s just 359 pages of how an introvert befriends an extrovert and starts having feelings for him.
I don’t want to come off as a hater or whatever, I don’t hate the book per se but it still in my opinion is an average book.
Peace.
And for the people who cried over this book, wonder what you guys went through when you read ‘A walk to remember’, ‘My sister’s keeper’ or even ‘The fault in our stars’?
Have you read this book? What are your thoughts on Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe?
Anyhoo,
Thanks for reading!
Until then,
Be Flawsome xx

i’ve never read it, but you said it made a lot of people cry, and i’m like: sad books and movies literally make me cry every time, so i’m predicting that i’ll cry HHAHAAH, unless it’s reaaallyyy bad though, why was it average in your opinion?

Average because it wasn’t a mind-blowing story or anything. It had a very simple plot about how two people become friends to something more than that
